Cameras that show you a face at the door and a plate in the driveway, record whether or not the internet is up, and send alerts that matter instead of forty notifications a day. We design and install home camera systems from a doorbell and two cameras to a full estate perimeter.
We work with everyone, small or big. The scope changes with the project. The standard of the work does not.
The useful question is not how much of the property is in frame but which events you need to be able to prove: who was at the door, who was at the car, who came through the gate. Cameras aimed at those points at a resolution that makes a face or a plate legible are worth more than a dozen wide shots of lawn. Our designs usually have fewer cameras than the quote you got from a box store and show you a great deal more.
Night is where most consumer systems fall down. We choose sensors and placement for the actual light each camera will face at the hours that matter, and we avoid the mounting spots that produce a glowing blur of infrared and nothing else.
Cameras that record only to the cloud stop recording when the internet stops, and the monthly fee grows with every camera. We record locally to a recorder on battery backup, which keeps capturing through an outage, and we use the connection for remote viewing and for an offsite copy of events. You keep your own footage, under your own control, with no subscription required to see it.
Every camera we install runs over a single network cable that carries both the video and the power, so there is no transformer hidden in a soffit waiting to fail and nothing to recharge.
A system that notifies you every time a leaf moves gets muted inside a week. Modern cameras can tell a person from a vehicle from an animal, and we tune each camera's alerts so a notification means something. If you have a smart home system, cameras integrate with it: a person at the gate after dark can turn on the driveway lights and show the feed on the nearest screen.
Cameras covering your entrance will often take in the sidewalk or a neighbor's window. We set privacy masks on what is not yours to record and document where they are. Installation is tidy, with cable runs planned before anything is drilled, housings chosen to match the house, and finishes protected while we work.
The recorder and the cameras sit on their own network segment with their own credentials, separate from the family's laptops and the smart television. It is the right way to do it and it is the thing most installers skip.
A professionally installed four camera system with local recording typically starts in the low thousands, and the largest share of that is the labor to route cable cleanly through a finished house rather than the cameras themselves. Larger properties, plate capture and long retention raise it from there. Every quote shows equipment and labor separately.
No. The systems we install record locally and give you remote viewing without a fee. Cloud backup of events is available as an option if you want an offsite copy.
Yes. We plan cable paths through basements, attics and existing chases before anything is cut, and we tell you honestly when a wired camera in a particular spot would do more damage than it is worth. Finishes are protected and we clean up.
Where those systems use open standards, yes, and tying them together is usually simple. Some older proprietary alarm panels will not talk to anything else, and we will tell you that before you pay us to try.
